Achievements

Every year, the magnificent artistry of our Maa Durga idol and the intricate detailing of her adornments remain a major highlight of the Sharodotsav. The grandeur and elegance of the idol attract thousands of devotees and visitors to our pavilion, making it one of the most admired features of the celebration.

For the past 49 consecutive years, the committee has organised daily evening cultural programs during the Puja, showcasing performances exclusively in the Bengali language. These programs honor and celebrate the richness of Bengal’s artistic and cultural legacy.

Over the years, the committee has been honoured with a total of 16 Sharad Samman awards, a testament to its excellence in organisation, devotion, artistic expression, and community engagement.

Panshila Sarbojonin Sharodotsav proudly upholds its long-standing tradition of inclusivity. Even today, people of all age groups gather throughout the day at our signature three-sided open mandap to witness rituals, engage in meaningful interactions, and enjoy the cultural programs presented every evening.

In 2001, the Puja received its first Sharad Samman, marking a significant milestone and establishing its reputation within the region’s cultural landscape.

Following UNESCO’s recognition of Bengal’s Durga Puja as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, and responding to the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s appeal, Panshila Sarbojonin Sharodotsav organised a special celebratory procession. It remains the only Puja committee in the region to undertake such a tribute.
